The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about enhancing the overall experience and outcomes of 3D printing. Key responsibilities include process development for formulations, post-processing of printed parts, driving unprecedented print accuracy and precision using various metrology techniques, and maintaining detailed documentation. The candidate should also be comfortable working in both wet and non-wet labs, as well as in laser rooms and other specialized environments. Essential soft skills include a strong enthusiasm for solving complex problems in a fast-paced environment and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, including chemistry, materials, optics, and software.
Responsibilities
- Set up and execute experiments, collecting data to improve resin formulations and process development.
- Develop strategies for preparing and handling viscous resin.
- Coordinate with external vendors to identify and source equipment for process development.
- Regularly print and process printed parts with the goal of continuous improvement.
- Analyze printed parts using basic and advanced metrology techniques, including CT scans.
- Perform testing of formulations and materials with routine and specialized equipment (e.g., UV/Vis, FTIR, rheology, DMA, DSC, and more).
- Collaborate with chemists and engineers to address challenges and drive advancements in our technology.
Minimum Qualifications
- BS or MS degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering (or a related degree with relevant coursework).
